Girls” Generation was ranked #1 in the “40 Korean Celebrities of 2014″ by business magazine Forbes Korea.
Forbes Korea recently picked 40 influential Korean celebrities; Girls” Generation proudly rose to the top.
Forbes selected 100 celebrities on the list “40 Korean Celebrities of 2014″ based onfour categories: profit, media coverage, TV appearances, and professionalism. Celebrities that were widely active in movies, dramas, show programs, music, and sports were candidates for the list.
Girls” Generation was the only candidate to be ranked #10 or higher on all four categories.
Girls” Generation ranked #1 on the same list in 2011 and 2012; ever since Forbes Korea started the rankings in 2009, Girls” Generation was listed in the top 5 every year. Girls” Generation is the only celebrity to be listed in the top 5 ranking for six consecutive years.
Girls” Generation released their new mini album Mr. Mr. on the 24th and its music video on the 28th, gathering attention from Korean and U.S. Media such as the billboards, FUSE TV, POPDUST TV, MTV, and Hypetrak.
Meanwhile, Girls” Generation stages their first comeback performance in Mnet on the 6th.
