121205 Girls’ Generation Nominated for ’2012 World Music Awards’ and ’2012 SBS MTV Best of the Best’

Girls’ Generation has been nominated for “World’s Best Group” at the “2012 World Music Awards”, taking place on December 20th at Marlins Park Stadium in Miami, Florida. The “2012 World Music Awards” is famously set to enter the “Guiness Book of World Records” as the biggest live music awards show ever going live to the most countries, with more than a billion viewers seeing this live three hour event.

The “World Music Awards”, an international award show founded in 1989, annually honors recording artists based on worldwide sales data provided by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). This year, Girls’ Generation is up for the award of “World’s Best Group” among 41 other artists, including fellow K-Pop acts Big Bang and Wonder Girls. Online voting is currently opened on the official “World Music Awards” website. Fans can vote once per day.

Also, Girls’ Generation – TTS and Jessica are both nominated for three different categories at the “2012 SBS MTV Best of the Best’”. Girls’ Generation – TTS is nominated for both “Best Global” in the “Best Music Video” category and “Artist of the Year” in the “Best Live” category. Jessica is nominated for “Best Cameo” for her appearance in SHINee’s “Sherlock” under the “Best Music Video” category. Voting is available online at the official SBS MTV website. Fans can vote for each category once per hour.
