121106 SNSD Yoona and Psy’s ‘Affair’ Photo Turns Out to Be from ‘Running Man’

Hungry for gossip, it seems that the press has forgotten to fact check once again.

Recently, the Chinese language-based outlets, such as Hong Kong’s ifeng.com and other Taiwanese and Chinese press, reported that Psy and Girls’ Generation Yoona had an affair six months ago.

The media published a photo as evidence, but as the photo began traveling on the internet, more netizens are letting out exasperated laughs.

The ‘evidence’ showed Yoona wearing a hooded jacket, while walking next to a man with a cap in a busy shopping area. The media reported that to carry out the affair, the two stars had to go undercover.

Perhaps the most baffling thing about this photo is that the photo was taken for April 16’s broadcast of SBS Running Man where Yoona and Sunny appeared as guests and Psy was not even present. The man standing next to Yoona appears to be her cameraman.

Both YG Entertainment and SM Entertainment have said the claims aren’t worth responding to, while netizens are having a good laugh over the fabricated scandal.
