140806 Girls” Generation”s Sooyoung and more attend first script reading for “My Spring Day”

The first script reading was recently held at MBC headquarters in Sangam, Seoul with Kam Woo Sung, Sooyoung, Shim Hye Jin, Kwon Hae Hyo, Lee Ki Young, and more in attendance. Sooyoung brightened the atmosphere in the room with her portrayal of her cheerful character Lee Bom Yi who lives a tough life. Since the beginning of the drama takes place on Jeju Island, the cast also spoke in Jeju satoori [dialect].

The drama portrays the love story of a terminally ill patient who gets a heart transplant and ends up meeting the husband of the donor who passed away. Kam Woo Sung plays the role of Kang Dong Ha, who is a single dad who loses his wife due to an unfortunate accident and is left to raise two kids on his own. Sooyoung will play the role of Lee Bom Yi, who gets a chance at a new life after a heart transplant.

Taetiseo, a unit group of Girls” Generation, may make a comeback next month.

The unit released its first mini album “Twinkle” in April 2012, five years afterGirls” Generation made a debut. It had topped many local music charts with the title song of the same name.

One of the industry experts said that the group has recently completed recording for the new album, according to local media reports. The expert also said as the basic concept for the album is now confirmed, they will start filming the music video and taking a photo for the album cover sooner or later.

140807 Girls’ Generation and JYJ Grab a Korean One-Two on Japanese Album Chart

Korean artists are taking the Japanese charts by storm, with albums by Girls’ Generation and JYJ claiming Number 1 and Number 2, respectively, on theOricon Weekly Album chart.

Girls’ Generation has now made it two weeks at the top spot with their Japanese compilation album, “The Best,” which has also recently topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart. The album, which contains hits such as “”Gee” and “Genie,” went on release on July 23. JYJ is enjoying the success of its long-awaited comeback, “Just Us,” which dropped on July 30.

The chart company confirmed that Girls’ Generation has now drawn level with the album chart success of fellow SM Entertainment star, BoA, who has also spent a total of three weeks atop the Oricon charts. Girls Generation has previously spent a week at the top spot in the same chart in 2011 with its first Japanese album release.

Jessica and Krystal have long been considered fashion icons and they recently signed on to be the new endorsement models for fashion brand Lapalette.

A representative for Lapalette explained the company”s choice with Jessica and Krystal. “The usually stylish, lovable, and honest girls are perfect for the concept of 2014 Lapalette,” the rep stated. The photo ad campaign launches in this month.

“You”ll be able to see Jessica and Krystal”s advertisement images starting in August both on and offline, and we”re planning various promotional activities,” added the Lapalette rep.

The K-Pop sisters – Jessica, a member of Girls” Generation, and f(x) member Krystal – currently have their own reality show, “Jessica & Krystal,” that emphasizes their chic and trendy styles on the OnStyle network in South Korea.

The July 29th episode (Episode 9) features a behind the scenes look at Jessica and Krystal”s photo shoot.

The two of them star in the new MBC drama “My Spring Days” as Kang Dong-ha and Lee Bom, who fall in destined love for each other.

“My Spring Days” is a human drama based on the subject of “Cellular Memory” where a beneficiary is also given the habits or personality of the donor. A woman gets a new chance at life and meets the family of the woman who gave it to her. To be broadcasted in September.
