Girls′ Generation (SNSD) took another step toward the world by launching a new world tour with a concert in Seoul.

On June 9, SNSD held its 2013 Girls′ Generation World Tour Girls & Peace in Seoul concert, proudly announcing the start of this year′s world tour. The two concerts that took place this day and the day before, on June 8, marked the start of a new journey to spread the charms of these nine girls to the world.

Their colorful performances definitely lived up to the expectations they had been met with as one of Korea′s biggest girl groups. At times they were cute and at others they were sexy, showing off their brilliant colors and pointing toward a successful direction for their tour.

After performing Hoot, Animal, Talk Talk, The Boys and I Got a Boy, the SNSD members greeted their fans saying they had waited so long for this concert. It was their first in Korea in two years.

Seohyun said, “We′ve toured Japan for two months, and today we plan to perform the songs we didn′t get to show then. I hope you enjoy them with us.”

Hologram videos and other stage effects drew the attention of fans everywhere, meeting with the members′ skills to put on a stunning mix.

The members themselves exploded with energy, as they sang on end Say Yes,Dancing Queen, Mr. Taxi, T.O.P., Flower Power, Paparazzi, Run Devil Run,Reflection, Promise, I′m a Diamond, Express 999, Genie, Gee and other tracks from Korea and Japan.

The 28 songs performed at the concert all drew applause and cheers from the fans in the audience.

SNSD also revealed its performance for Love & Girls, its upcoming seventh single in Japan to be released on June 19. The cute track, with a ′shampoo dance′ using whistles, warned of how it would be taking over this summer.

The members said they were touched at the placards reading ′Let′s last forever together′, and also at the wide range of age groups that came to see their concert. They promptly burst out in a verse of Tears without any accompaniment in thanks.

The concert, which lasted for two hours and a half, showcased yet more of SNSD′s charms as well as an entertaining show.

SNSD next plans to perform in Taiwan from July 20-21. It will then continue to tour Asia and the Americas.
