130109 SNSD Speaks Up on the Rumors Between Sooyoung and Won Bin

Girls′ Generation (SNSD) member Sooyoung was hit hard late 2012 with a surprising rumor over her love life.

Gossip quickly spread on the internet that Sooyoung was dating actor Won Bin, and even it made it onto the news.

It turned out, however, that the incident had branched from a little prank a netizen had played.

Despite its small beginnings, the rumor managed to become one of the hottest issues on the web at the time.

SNSD spoke up about the incident in an interview with enews held on January 8.

Sooyoung kept quiet on the issue, as it seemed she had suffered from the incident that blew up when it was released through the news. The other members, however, spoke up for her and lightened the mood.

Taeyeon said, "It was very impressive. I heard it all started from a photo showing Won Bin swimming (soo young). That one photo gave birth to numerous love rumors. It was a baseless incident, but the one involved in the rumors suffered because they kept getting bigger and bigger in proportion."

The group′s youngest member Seohyun also joked, "It was a fun incident. We know it′s not true, so we all thought it was funny. We all just laughed it over. It′s an incident we should be jealous of."

The members spoke up for Sooyoung when she couldn′t speak up for fear she say the wrong thing, showing their support and care for each other.
