130927 EXO reveals who they think the prettiest Girls’ Generation member is

Idol group EXO has revealed that they think the prettiest member in Girls’ Generation is Taeyeon.

During the September 25 broadcast of SBS’ ‘One Night TV Entertainment’, the crew visited EXO and Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon on the set of a cosmetics commercial for an interview. On this day, the EXO members were asked to pick out the prettiest member in Girls’ Generation.

EXO said, “Among the Girls’ Generation members, Taeyeon is the prettiest.” The reporter then mentioned that Sooyoung is watching the interview since she is an MC of the show, to which the EXO members quickly said, “We also love you”.

Taeyeon who seemed flattered by the revelation, replied, “I think they’re just saying because I’m here. They’re all younger than me and seeing how they have many members, I feel like I’m looking at Girls’ Generation when we first debuted.”

130927 Tour DVD from Girls’ Generation tops charts in Japan

Girls’ Generation has topped the weekly DVD chart on Japan’s Oricon yesterday.

The group’s arena tour in Japan, titled “Girls’ Generation II – Girls and Peace – Japan Second Tour”, was recorded and put together on a DVD, which was released in Japan last week.

The tour lasted for about two months this year. The group performed 20 times in seven different cities in Japan from February to April.

About 200,000 fans showed up to the concert, making Girls’ Generation one of the top K-pop groups to gather one of the biggest audiences in a single tour.

The DVD also topped the daily DVD chart on Oricon on the day of its release.

The group’s eighth Japanese EP “Galaxy Supernova” was placed third on Oricon’s weekly EP chart on the day of its release last week.

The EP came out three months after the group’s seventh EP sold about 50,000 copies on the day of its release.

130927 What Makes Military Men Go Wild? SNSD

A couple of weeks ago, SNSD brought down a house full of soldiers with a surprise performance. The girls gave a very special Christmas gift to servicemen who couldn’t go back home for the holidays. They performed an exclusive concert for the military as part of their “SNSD’s Christmas Fairytale,” which aired Christmas Eve on MBC.

Initially caught off guard, the soldiers cheered as SNSD strutted down the room, making their grand entrance. As shown in the video below, the soldiers jumped out of their seats as SNSD performed some of their greatest hits. The video has belatedly garnered attention around the world as it captured the ecstatic faces of Korea’s finest servicemen.

130924 SNSD Seohyun's fans show their support for her first drama through rice and grain wreath donations

Girls' Generation's Seohyun is receiving a lot of love from her fans. To support Seohyun in her first drama SBS's 'Passionate Love,' fans all over the world sent donations of 2.7 tons of Dreame rice wreaths and 928 kg of Dreame grain wreaths for a total of about 3.4 tons of wreaths to the drama's press conference. 

The rice wreaths will be donated to the senior citizens who live alone and the grain wreaths to animal protection groups. 

Since January 2010, Girls' Generation's global fans have generously given a total of 24 tons of rice wreaths, 928 kg of grain wreaths, and 238 briquette wreaths to show their support.
